Paulet jewelry is handcrafted in Madrid, Andalusia, and the Basque Country, regions with extensive artisanal experience. Explore the different manufacturing stages that guarantee a quality piece, from casting to plating and assembly.

THE PROCESS
DESIGN MADE IN SPAIN
Our pieces are our own designs, each and every one of them the brainchild of our team. Staying true to our style and working on our own creations is distinctive and inherent to the firm.

THE PROCESS
LOST WAX CASTING
This ancient technique, derived from sculpture, allows for precision casting to create complex and highly detailed works. A wax-injected mold is created to capture the shape of the design prototype, and wax pieces are then cast and placed on a rod to form "the tree."
The tree is worked and undergoes several mechanical processes before finally being placed in the furnace, where sterling silver or the necessary metal that will form the base of the jewelry is injected. The heat melts the wax in the mold and replaces it with molten metal. After removing it from the furnace, each piece of jewelry is extracted by hand.

THE PROCESS
WELDING AND ENGRAVING
Depending on the design of the jewelry, different components are engraved or soldered. Soldering is primarily done on earring pins or the various parts that make up the design of tiaras or combs.
Subtly signed, all our jewelry bears the double P of the Paulet seal, a symbol and guarantee of creation and design. See certificate of authenticity.

THE PROCESS
REVIEW AND POLISHING
Several steps are taken to refine the shape of the jewelry, the fluidity of its lines, and the perfection of its texture. Each piece is sanded, hand-polished, and machine-polished to remove marks and irregularities and give it a shine. A very meticulous process to achieve the perfect reflection and ensure the design is free of imperfections.

THE PROCESS
BATHROOM
This step gives the jewelry its characteristic gold hue. At Paulet, we use 18-karat gold plating in various microns for a high-quality, long-lasting finish. A layer of palladium is applied before plating to improve its adhesion and durability. The jewelry is placed on a conductive copper wire before being immersed in a gold ion bath by the artisan gilder. The copper allows an electric current to travel through the jewelry, attracting the gold particles and coating them.

OUR ARTISANS
Artisans are the essence of Paulet. Experienced jewelers, goldsmiths, and gem-setters employing traditional techniques combine with the artistic ambition and enthusiasm of new generations to create special, one-of-a-kind jewelry.

The mastery of jewelry
Some of the artisan jewelers who work on each of Paulet's pieces have more than 25 years of experience, and the firm advocates for these traditional skills to be passed on to the next generation in our workshop.

MATERIALS
We work with top-quality, allergy-free materials, primarily 925 sterling silver and 18-karat gold plating. Our pieces are decorated with high-quality, European-made crystals, as well as other precious stones and natural cultured freshwater pearls.
